Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Parks, 62 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 31st at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday December 30th. Mr. Parks was born November 5, 1946. His parents were Ellis Wesley and Rita Bell Pace Parks. He married Barbara Beaty January 17, 1976 at the Grove Hill Methodist Church near Leonard.. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard Texas and served his country as a member of the United States Army. He died Saturday December 27th at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Nathan and Katie Parks of Leonard, Texas; his son: Blake Parks of Leonard, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law: Donald “Mert” and Carolyn Parks of Sherman, Texas and his two grandchildren: Cody and Ben Parks of Leonard, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rita Bell Pace; his father and step-mother: Ellis and Dee Parks and his son: Bryan Parks. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
