Jimmy Clyde Hill

Jimmy Clyde Hill, age 64, of Gunter, Texas, passed away November 8, 2008. Jimmy was born August 20, 1944, in New Albany, Mississippi. He graduated from Gunter High School in 1962. Jimmy obtained an associate degree in business administration from Grayson County Junior College in 1962 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1976. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Jimmy retired as a manager at Texas Instruments after twenty-seven years of service. Following his retirement from TI, Jimmy, along with his good friend, Gene Clay, formed C & H Investments. Jimmy was a Master Mason and a member of the V. F. W. Post #2773. Jimmy dearly loved his family. He took special joy in his grandchildren and participating in their activities. He was blessed with many friends. He loved the outdoors, staying busy on his farm and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jimmy attended the Red River Cowboy Church of Denison. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hill and three children, Rick Hill and his wife, Jennifer, Kristi Mize, and husband, Bryan, and Nicki Sidandi and husband, John, along with two step-children, Valorie Mast and Matt Stringer. Jimmy was the proud grandfather of his grandchildren, Zack and Emilie Hill, Brandon Mize, Tabitha and Jonathan Sidandi, as well as seven step-grandchildren, William and David Mast, Kelly Taylor, Moranda and Amber Stringer, Chelsea and Ryan Stoll. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Morrison and Wanda Smith, brothers, Charlie and Waymon Reed, and uncle, Gilbert Childers and wife, Emiko. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Reed and Gene Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Gunter, Texas. Interment will follow at Gunter Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rick and Zack Hill, Ryan Stoll, Don McConnell, Keith Hayes, and Gene Clay.
