Jim Pressel, age 59, of Allen, Texas, passed away November 4, 2008 after battling Pancreatic Cancer. At the time of his death, he was lovingly surrounded by family and friends in his home. Jim was born March 21, 1949, in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, to Charles ‘Nick’ Glen and Florence ‘Jane’ (Brumbaugh) Pressel. He married Nancy on February 11, 1995, in Plano, Texas. Jim began working for EDS in 1969 in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, later transferred to Hollywood, Florida and then came to Plano, Texas in 1979. He left EDS after 27 years where he joined Ernst and Young in April 1997 and later transitioned to Capgemini. Jim held several positions within E&Y and Capgemini where he worked on several projects that allowed him to travel across the United States, Canada, England, Germany, and Poland. Jim was a member of Oak Ridge Country Club and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Allen; daughters, Tammy Pressel and Mike Moore of Frisco, Texas and Stacey White and her husband, Chris of Frisco; two grandsons, Dustin and Collin; two granddaughters, Riley and Reese; Judy, mother of Tammy and Stacey, of Plano, TX; sister, Kring Hess and husband, James of Newport, Pennsylvania; nephew, Jimmy Hess and wife Josy; niece, Jamie Hess; great-nephew, Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Todd Pressel. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2008, at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas, 75080 with Rev. Kenneth Shamblin, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends during a memorial visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A reception will be held after the service at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson, Texas.
