Mr. James “Jim” Pete Pisoni, age 77, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Dallas, Texas. He was born August 14, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ambrose and "Molly" Maurina (Merlotti) Pisoni. On January 10, 1959, Jim married Dorothy Lucille Martin in San Antonio, Texas. A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Pisoni was a major league baseball player and later worked as an Electrical Contractor. Jim was a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family. A friend to many, Jim was always smiling no matter what life brought to him. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Pisoni of Frisco, Texas; sons, Jim Pisoni of Allen, Texas and, Tom Pisoni of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Alec Pisoni of Allen, Texas; uncle, Paul Merlotti; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Norma Jean Merlo; and brother, Giacomo “Jimmy” Pisoni. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 9, 2007 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Family and friends are invited to Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM before Jim is sent to his final rest in St. Louis.
