Jettie B. Tyler, age 94, of McKinney, Texas passed away December 23, 2003, at North Central Medical Center. She was born January 8, 1909, in Abilene, Texas to William Winfield and Minnie Mae (Porter) Day. On December 24, 1931, she married William A. Tyler in Durant, Oklahoma. Mrs. Tyler was a weaver for the McKinney Cotton Mill where she retired after 40 years of service. After retiring, she went to work for the McKinney Job Corps. She was a member of the King Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Ray C. Tyler and wife, Elena of Richardson, Texas, Mickey Tyler of Allen, Texas, and Rickey Tyler and wife, Randie of Garland, Texas; daughters, Jeanette Bailey and Joyce Welch and husband, Richard all of McKinney; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Her parents; husband; and 7 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2003, at Ridgeview Memorial Park with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
