Jessie “Pauline” Hurt age 91 of McKinney, Texas passed away February 16, 2015. She was born December 19, 1923 in Culleoka, Texas to William Lonzo and Ada Mae (McElroy) Jenkins. Pauline was a member and worshipped at the Princeton Church of Christ in Princeton, Texas. She was born and raised in Collin County. Pauline participated in the World War II support efforts by working as an airline riveter in Dallas and then California where she met her husband of twenty-four years, Al Hurt. While she traveled to California with her sisters and her mother for a brief time in her early life, she lived most of her life in Collin County in the McKinney/Princeton area. Pauline was a loyal employee of Fischer Controls located in McKinney, Texas (now known as Emerson). She retired from Fischer Controls after 20 years of service. Pauline enjoyed the working relationships she made during the years employed at Fischer Controls and considered many of her peers as family. She remained in contact with a great number of those she worked with until a short time ago.
She is survived by her children, Gary Lynn Hurt of Princeton, Texas, Teresa Yvonne Wyatt of Princeton, Texas and Sherry Ann Doty of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Angela Ann Keister, Carrie Ann Figueroa, Johnathan Hurt, Trisha Yvonne Makowski and Natalie Nicole Stubblefield; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alla Gene Rose of Princeton, Texas, Corine Bell of Azle, Texas and LaVerne Moore of Princeton, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other loving relatives.
Pauline was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Mae Jenkins; father, Lonnie Jenkins; granddaughter, Jennifer Hurt; sister, Edith Johnston and brother, Marvin Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
