Jesse T. Young age 78, of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away Friday, March 13, 2009, at his residence. He was born on July 5, 1930 in Sadler, Texas to Felix Gettie and Levina (Thurman) Young. On September 17, 1954 he married Florence Vivian Martin in McKinney, Texas. Jesse proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from E-Systems in Greenville in 1995 and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Young was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Florence Young of Blue Ridge, Texas; sons, Norman Young and wife, Linda of Leonard, Texas, Dale Young and Sarah Harvey of Van Alstyne, Texas, Donald Young of Blue Ridge, Texas, Gerald Young of Trenton, Texas and James Young and wife, Meredith of Wylie, Texas; daughters, Lynn Hood of Westminster, Texas, Gale Fonville and husband, Johnnie of Blue Ridge, Texas, Shirley Hardin and husband, Glenn of Princeton, Texas, Connie Ross and husband, Donald of Blue Ridge, Texas and Lilly Fowler and husband, Dave of Holly Springs, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Louella Gray of Sherman, Texas and Joyce Fields of Troup, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy Joe Young; sister, Addie Mae Stevens and son-in-law, Keith Hood, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Atteberry officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
