JERRY WAYNE BUTLER passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the age of 82. He was born near Blue Ridge, Collin County, Texas on June 24, 1935, the son of Lena Faye (King) Butler and Jesse Woodrow Butler. He married Carol Sue Turner of Whitewright, Texas in 1974. Jerry was a long time resident of Farmersville, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Diann Fischer and husband, Ron of Norman, Oklahoma, and sons, Jeff Butler of McKinney, Texas, and Steve Butler and wife, Corie of Prosper, Texas. He had 6 grandchildren; Ashley and Aaron Fischer, Jennifer and Jarrett Butler, and Priscilla and Steven Butler, and 3 great grandchildren; Wyatt Smith, and Preston and Jacob Pierson. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Short and brother-n-law, James Turner of Blue Ridge, Texas and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol Sue Butler, brother, Bobby Butler and sister, Sue Turner of Blue Ridge, Texas.
A memorial graveside service will be held Sunday, September 17th at 2:00 in the afternoon at the Blue Ridge Cemetery.
