Jerry Best Smith, 91, of Garland, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2015. She was born November 18, 1923 in Farmersville, Texas to Dr. Jerry Robert and Gladys Geraldine (David) Best. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She would take them to Vacation Bible School and kept them entertained with arts and crafts. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville for many years. She is survived by: daughter: Shelly Kay Smith Price, sons: Frank W. Smith, III and David S. Smith; daughter: Robin A. Smith Sugart; Grandchild: Micah L. Smith; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by: husband, Frank W. Smith, Jr., parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother.

Funeral services were on July 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Farmersville. Family received friends at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Leon Auddell officiated the service. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
