Jerry J. Parrish, Sr., age 85, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 28, 2010, in McKinney. Jerry was born March 11, 1925, in Beaumont, Texas, to Dozier Orris and Minna (Seibert) Parrish. He was married to Jean Ann Parrish and she preceded him in death. He married Lois Cohen of Mineral Wells, she preceded him in death. Later, he married Enola Landry in 1997 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Jerry grew up and attended schools in Beaumont. After graduating from high school, Jerry proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp. He graduated from Lamar University before receiving a basketball scholarship to Oklahoma State University, graduating with a bachelor degree in geology. As a geologist he worked all over the world for Texas Instruments before retiring at Lake Palestine, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Enola Parrish of McKinney, Texas; sons, Jeffrey Parrish and wife, Diana of Del Valle, Texas, Joe Parrish of Bullard, Texas, and Jimmy Parrish and wife, Gabrelia of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sister, Margie Cole of Kerrville, Texas; brothers, Dan Parrish of Conroe, Texas and Frank Parrish of Houma, Louisiana; granddaughters, Madeline Frost of Corpus Christi, Texas and Lindsey Mosman of South Korea; grandsons, Trevor Parrish of Bullard, Texas and Jerri Rose Parrish of Ft. Worth, Texas; great-grandson, Maximus Frost; and great-granddaughter, Nicole Mosman. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry James Parrish, Jr., and grandson, Tye James Parrish. A remembrance gathering will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
