Jerry McGill, Cdr. USN (Ret.), age 46, of Frisco, Texas passed away on January 4, 2008 in Dallas. Beloved husband, best friend, and soul mate; loving father, son, and brother, now safely in the hands of Our Lord. Jerry lost a short but courageous battle against cancer with tremendous dignity. Born July 2, 1961 in Duarte, CA to Jeremiah and Anna (Molless) McGill and raised in Staten Island, NY. Jerry graduated from New Dorp High School, Staten Island, NY in 1979 and from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD Class of 1983. He was the Vice President of Sales for Hollingsead International and President of VJB Aeronautical Services. Jerry is survived by his wife, Rhea Stone McGill, formerly of Longview, Texas, who he married on April 26, 1986 in San Diego, CA where they were both stationed in the United States Navy. He is also survived by his daughters, Valerie McGill and Jennifer McGill of Austin, TX; son, Brian McGill of Frisco, TX; mother, Anna McGill of Staten Island, NY; brothers, Steve McGill of Glendale, AZ, Mike McGill of Phoenix, AZ, Bob McGill of Redondo Beach, CA and Bill McGill of Staten Island, NY; sister, Kathy Gonzales of East Hanover, NJ; numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends. In addition, Jerry is especially remembered by his sister in law and brother in law, Robin and Robert Jackson and his brother in law, Ron Stone. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Frisco with Pastor Stan Brasuell officiating.
