Jerry Dane Greer, age 69, of Frisco, Texas passed away October 18, 2010. He was born July 11, 1941 in Greenville, Texas to Lee Dane Greer and Edna Venus (Hart) Greer. Jerry graduated from Greenville High School. He attended Collin County Jr. College and East Texas State University. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. On December 24, 2002 he married Virginia Annette Wright in Plano, Texas. Jerry retired from Harland Financial Solutions in Carrollton where he worked as a disaster recovery manager. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Annette Greer of Frisco, Texas; brother, John Greer of Quinlan, Texas; sister, Betty Wattier and husband, Gary of Wylie, Texas; sister-in-law, Karen Pliskal and husband, Kyle of Carrollton, Texas; brother-in-law, Freddie Wright and wife, Sharon of McKinney, Texas; brother-in-law, Clifton Wright and wife, Sharlotte of Lorena, Texas; nephew, Jeff Wattier of Wylie, Texas; nieces, Gabrielle and Alyssa Pliskal of Carrollton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edna Greer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
