Jerry J. Greene, 74, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2008, at his home of 37 years. He was born April 14, 1933, in Cumby, Texas, to Joe R. and Goldie L. (Smith) Greene. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carole Oman Greene; his daughters, Jennifer Ann Callaway and husband Jerril Callaway of Bergheim, Texas; and Jeanine Kay Schuchardt and husband Michael Schuchardt of Boerne, Texas; and, his much beloved grandson, Evin Schuchardt, a student at Texas A & M University. He graduated from Bandera High School, Class of 1950, in Bandera, Texas, served in the U. S. Army and later was the founder and president of J. J. Greene, Inc., a construction firm engaged in the building of commercial properties, primarily retail stores, throughout Texas, Oklahoma and several other states. At his request, he was cremated and there was not a funeral service. Distribution of his ashes in remote southwest Texas, as an outdoorsman a place he dearly loved, will be executed by his good friend and neighbor, Rene Bates.
