Funeral services for Jerry Lou Calvert Alexander, 65 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday November 14th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday November 13th from 7 until 9 p.m. Mrs. Alexander was born February 6, 1943 at Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Buddy and Laura Lou Powers Calvert. She was a member of the Baptist Church and she worked at IHOP as a waitress for 15 years. She died November 11th at the Zale Lipshy University Hospital at Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her sons: Thomas Glen Clayton of Leonard, Texas and Randy Amon Clayton of Nolanville, Texas; her daughters; Frances Cherry of McKinney, Texas and Teresa Vitellaro of Mabank, Texas; her sisters: Bobbie Earline Travis of Dallas, Texas and Tommie Lee Bryant of Corsicana, Texas. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Buddy and Laura Lou Powers Calvert; her husband: Verna Othel “Eric” Alexander; her son: Tony Lynn Clayton; her brothers: Thomas Allen Calvert, William A. “Butch” Calvert and Michael Calvert; her sister: Sally Jo Calvert.
