Jennings Craig Kooda, age 66, of Richardson, Texas passed away June 4, 2011. He was born April 10, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Jennings Carmel Kooda and Lillian2 E. (Craig) Kooda. On November 15, 1969 He married Jean Phelps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jennings grew up in Minnesota where he lived until 1980 before moving his family to Richardson. He was an estimator in the construction industry and retired from Jacobs Engineering in 2010. Jennings enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting and most of all spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Jean Kooda of Richardson, Texas; son, Craig Jennings Kooda and wife, Jill of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle and Carson Kooda; brothers, Harland Kooda and wife, Karen of Anoka, Minnesota, Kevin Kooda and wife, Margie of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sister, Susan Fiest and husband, Dr. Richard Fiest of St. Anthony, Minnesota, Kristen Chizek and husband, Tom o f Minnetonka, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jennings and Lillian Kooda. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 10, 2011 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.
