IN LOVING MEMORY

Jennie Jo Webb Tinsley

Sep 08 1927 - Apr 27 2013

Jennie Jo Webb Tinsley of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born on September 8, 1927, in Van Alstyne, Texas, to Albert Rice and Jennie (Lowe) Johnson. On June 8, 1989, Jennie married Dennis Tinsley, in McKinney. She attended school in Van Alstyne. Jennie was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, in Branch, Texas. She loved to sing and play music.

Her family and friends have many fond memories of Jennie and how she shared her love of music and her marvelous talents singing and playing the piano. She loved life to the fullest and they will always remember her big smile and laugh. During her early career, she had several offers to move to Nashville to play with several country groups, but she chose to stay in McKinney and raise her children and sing locally. She could sing anything, but loved singing gospel the best. The entire family loved singing together. She could play and sing every old hymn ever written. What a wonderful gift, and she loved to share that gift with anyone who would listen. She also shared her strong Christian Faith, which was a huge part of her life. Her family will miss her, but they will always have these wonderful memories.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Tinsley of McKinney, Texas; children, James R. Webb and wife Jan of McKinney, Mike Tinsley of Plano, Texas, Todd Tinsley and wife Diane of Plano, Texas and Sandy Southall of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; son-in-law, Richard Folsom; grandchildren, Angela Yaun, Kristi Ward and husband Jason, Jenna Webb, J.T. Tinsley, D.J. Mulen, Jennifer Dobbs, Mickey Tinsley, Christy Ilfrey, and Trey Webb; great-grandchildren, Sage, Aniston, Derek and Raquel.
