Jeffrey Jay Sherman

JEFFREY JAY SHERMAN, 49 years old, passed away January 26, 2007 at Medical City Dallas after a brief illness. Jeff is survived by his wife Tracey Lynn (Wager) Sherman, son Jason and daughters Sarah and Michelle. He is also survived by his father Alonzo Sherman and sister Lucy Fazely both of Oscoda, Michigan, brothers John of Los Angeles, California, Grant and wife Kelley of Bremen, Georgia and Allen of Bremerton, Washington. Other survivors include brother-in-law Mark Miller (husband of Jennifer) and son Matthew of Gardiner, Montana; nephews Jeremy Fazely of Robins AFB, Georgia, Jesse Sherman of Bremen, Georgia and numerous step nieces and nephews. Predeceased by mother Patricia (Raths) Sherman, sisters Josephine Farquharson and Jennifer Miller and nephew David LeCureux (son of Josephine). Born in Hawaii on January 15, 1958, he grew up in Oscoda, Michigan, graduated from Northern Michigan University and then moved to Plano, Texas where he was employed by Texas Instruments for 26 years. Jeff was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Plano, Texas where he served as an usher and as a Building & Grounds Deacon. He was involved with Outreach and Mercy work in the community as a carpenter for Christ. He was also active in the Boy Scouts of America and Habitat for Humanity. Hobbies included woodworking, auto mechanics and coaching youth teams. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, in Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4701 Hedgcoxe Road, Plano, Texas 75024 (please note on the check “Mercy Fund in honor of Jeff Sherman”).
