Jeffrey Laager Hannon

Jeffrey Laager Hannon, age 66, of Plano, Texas, passed away April 22, 2014 in Civitavecchia, Italy.  He was born on June 6, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas to Laurence Kenneth and Juliette (Laager) Hannon.  On May 31, 1969, Jeffrey married Louise Cornett in DeKalb, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jeffrey attended and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering; and a Master’s Degree from the University of Houston. He worked for Rohm and Haas, Texas Instruments and Mostek. Jeffrey participated in the start-ups of Cypress Semiconductor and Dallas Semiconductor. He retired from Dallas Semiconductor/Maxim in 2007. Jeffrey was a member of The First Families of Bexar County. 

He is survived by his wife, Louise Hannon of Plano, Texas; son, Craig Hannon, his wife Meredith and children, Cooper and Madeline of Austin, Texas; daughter, Heather Martinez, her husband Emmanuel and children Emily and Kaylee of Plano, Texas; brother, Father Ken Hannon of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Janine Stephens of San Antonio, Texas, Chris Ann Hannon and Judy Backus both of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. 

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Juliette Hannon; brother, Michael Hannon; and sister, Mary Frances Downs. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation, being held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
