IN LOVING MEMORY

Jeff Forrest

Aug 25 1958 - Oct 19 2015

Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Forrest, age 57 of Frisco, Texas passed away suddenly on October 19, 2015 at his home.  He was born on August 25, 1958 in Salina, Kansas to Nancy Carolyn (Lassiter) and Billy Gene Forrest. Jeff married Sherri Renee (Berlin) in Richardson, Texas on August 6, 1983. He was an Architect working for HDR, Inc, Dallas.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sherri Forrest of Frisco, Texas; two children, Aaron Forrest of Frisco, Texas and his fiancé, Danielle Lewis of Mansfield, Texas and Jessie Forrest of Frisco, Texas; parents, Ronald and Nancy Cagle of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Barry Forrest and his wife, Elizabeth of Aledo, Texas; sister, Debra Weimer and her husband, Eric of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four aunts and uncles, Becky and Darrell Koonts of Lexington, North Carolina, Barbara and Butch Foster of Southport, North Carolina, Charles and Doris West of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Tony Forrest of Winston Salem, North Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Marilyn Berlin of Garland, Texas; numerous nieces, and nephews.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Billy Forrest, grandparents, Ruby and Jesse Lassiter, Helen and Buddy Forrest.

Jeff was very active, trying to get and stay in the best possible shape.  He worked out regularly by either biking many miles or spending time at the gym.  Jeff had a hobby of raising African Cichlid fish.  He had 7 tanks plus one at Harry and Marilyn’s.  He found the fish to be very relaxing after a hard workout or a hard day at work.  There were also 4 dog’s at the house but Jeff would tell you “None of them belong to me!”  We know he loved them anyway.

Jeff was very proud of his son Aaron who recently received his Bachelor of Accounting from Colorado State, and also was accepted to study for his Master’s at the University of North Texas. Jeff was equally as proud of his daughter Jessie who graduated from Hardin Simmons with a Bachelor of Behavioral Science with a Minor in Psychology, and who is currently studying for her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas. Jeff also loved driving his Mazda Miata through the scenic Arkansas trails, and through the East Texas routes lined with Bluebonnets and wild flowers with his loving wife. His favorite vacation spot was anywhere with a beach, where he would sit and soak up the sun. His most relaxing time was when he was hanging out with his family in their neighbor’s pool every summer afternoon.

Jeff will be greatly missed as a loving and supportive father and husband, as well as an accomplished architect and loyal friend.

A Memorial Service will be held Prestonwood Baptist Church, Faith Chapel, 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093, on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM.

To honor Jeff’s life please make a memorial donation in Jeff’s name to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
