Jean Ellen Lowry, age 52, of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 12, 2009. She was born October 15, 1956 in McKinney, Texas to Ruth (Marcom) and Harvey King Truett. In 1975, she graduated 3rd in class from McKinney High School. On December 14, 1976, she eloped with Bobby Lowry in Waco, Texas, and they were married for 32 loving years. They lived in Richardson for 20 years. She enjoyed quilling, art projects, music, baking, gardening, Santa Fe, Galveston, and sitting on the back porch. Ellen used all her kindness and unconditional love to take care of everyone she knew. Ellen was a special, loving, and unique person to family and friends. Her quiet, unassuming way and gracious attitude made everyone feel at ease. Her love for her family cannot be measured. It was everlasting. Ellen's family has wonderful memories of her continual love and giving spirit that will always remain in their hearts. Ellen is survived by her husband, Bobby Lowry of Mckinney, Texas; daughter, Bonnie Kate Lowry of Dallas, Texas; mother, Ruth Truett of Dallas, Texas; sister, Charlotte Forté and her husband, Roger in Lawton, Oklahoma; nieces, Crystal Henderson and Rebecca Kennedy; nephew, Scott Branch; eight great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Ellen is preceded in death by her father, Harvey King Truett. A Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 18, 2009 at First Christian Church, 1800 West Hunt Street, McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a Remembrance Gathering at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 7:00 PM.
