Jean Clara Frederick LaFon, 79, of Princeton gave up the fight to live on August 18, 2005 at Plano HCA and went to join our beloved father and the Lord in heaven. Jean was born February 9, 1926, in Collin County to William Henry Frederick and Missouri Ophelia Branch Frederick. She married Carl Eugene LaFon on October 7, 1944 in Wylie, Texas and they enjoyed 60 long years of marriage before the Lord took our beloved father on December 29, 2004. Mother was a farmer’s wife and a devout homemaker who could make a loving home out of nothing at all. She was known throughout the community of Branch for her hard work, good cooking and strong willed temperament. She was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by son, James Larry LaFon; daughters, Barbara Ann Ball and husband, Donald, Sharron LaFon Perritte and Annette Blackburn and husband, Mike all of Princeton; grandchildren, Ronnie Dale Waller of McKinney, Cheryl Jones of Sherman and Christina Lansford of Princeton; great grandchildren Callie and Taryn Waller of McKinney; brothers, Eddie Ray Frederick of Duncanville, Marvin Frederick of Kemp, Bill Frederick of Chandler and sister Maurine Dillard of McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchild, Sherrie Lynn Waller; brother, Jack Frederick and sisters, Mary Ray and Pearl Harvey. Mother was loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 21, 2005, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
