JD Terry, Jr., age 59, of McKinney, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2009. He died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 14, 1950 in Mexia, Texas to JD and Annie Marie (Durbin) Terry. On February 14, 1979 he married Ina Lynne Caughlan in Liberty County, Texas. JD graduated from Richardson High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a police officer in Montgomery County, Texas for ten years and worked for 17 years as an aviation mechanic for American Airlines until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Ina Terry of McKinney, Texas; children, Brandi Terry of Plano, Texas, Rodney Terry of McKinney, Texas, Jonathan Scott Terry of McKinney, Texas and Tammi Terry of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; brother, Harvey Flynn Terry and his wife, Barbara of Melissa, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, JD Terry, Sr.; mother, Annie Marie Holcomb and step-father, Jack Holcomb. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Howard Durffee officiating.
