IN LOVING MEMORY

Janet Lynn Tucker

Jan 20 1948 - Oct 24 2015

On October 24, 2015, our Lord and Savior called his precious, sweet angel Home to rest. Jan was born in Dallas, Texas on January 20, 1948 to Louis N. Gaudreau and Ruby Viola Day. Jan was a dedicated mother and wife who gave every bit of her love, wisdom and energy to her family. Jan was extremely proud of Jack and Jeff, who show the same capacity for personal development, success and deep caring as their mother. Granny Jan enjoyed the children in our families as much as anyone, especially her little Hannah, and delighted in caring for babies. Jan never missed an opportunity to help others and was eager to volunteer whenever help was needed. We will also remember Jan for her wit and humor, which infected us like the plague and brought many laughs in good times and bad, and put us in a lighter mood for the best of all conditions. Jan was a Godly woman, who maintained faith in her Creator and Savior, and treated those she encountered under the “golden rule”. Jan was a self-made, professional career woman with a special talent for personnel and administrative management, as evidenced by her attainment of several officer positions in large financial services companies during her career. Jan leaves this world as a proud Christian with dignity, humility and much love. Jan will be missed by her many close friends and all those people whose lives she touched. May we always remember this delightful lady as one of our very best models for a life well lived.

Jan is survived by her husband, Frank Tucker; her two sons Jack Ross III, and Jeffrey Ross; her brother, Louis Wayne Gaudreau and her sister, Dee Morton. Jan is also survived by an extensive family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, which Jan always considered one of her life’s many generous blessings.

Please send remembrances to the National MS Society or a charity of your choosing.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
