Janet Lynn Simmons, age 53, of Anna, Texas, passed away March 22, 2008, at her home. She was born July 17, 1954, in Farmersville, Texas, the daughter of Jack Thomas and Joyce B. (Fleming) Mason. Janet grew up in Plano attending Plano High School. On November 18, 1972, she married Bobby Simmons in Plano. She worked in the accounting department at Blockbuster in McKinney and worked as a claims adjuster for the insurance industry. Janet was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna. She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Bobby; sons, Michael Simmons and his wife Danielle of Denton, TX and Clay Simmons and his fiance, Ashley of McKinney; mother, Joyce B. Mason of Plano; grandchildren, Jordan, Jared, Justin and Cody Simmons and Ariana Tidwell; sister, Judy Chambers of Plano; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Anna with Robert Helsley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home during a visitation on Sunday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
