Jane Gilbert Tallant, age 74, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 19, 2011. She was born December 23, 1936, in McKinney, Texas, to Wallace and Willie May (Tompkins) Gilbert. Jane was an active member of High Pointe Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Kay King and husband Vic of Lemont, Pennsylvania, Mark Tallant of McKinney, Nancy Tallant of Allen, and DeAnna Haynes and husband Rodney of McKinney; grandchildren, Beth Berry and husband Hunter of Chiapas, Mexico, Lara Kingshipp and husband Jeremiah of State College, Pennsylvania, Abby Crump and husband Travis of San Antonio, Kasey Smith of Allen, Lexi Tallant of McKinney, Megan Haynes of McKinney, Ben Smith of Allen, Chloe Tallant of McKinney, and Amber Haynes of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Sigorni, Taos, Parker, Hayden, Eli, Keaton, and Estella; mother, Willie May “Bill” Gilbert of Princeton; siblings, JoAnn Fry of Plano, Peggy Gardner of Princeton, Jimmy Gilbert of Verona, Tommy Gilbert of Richardson, Linda Carol Durham of Whitewright, and Tim Gilbert of Princeton. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Wallace Gilbert and brothers, Bobby and Michael Gilbert. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, with Vic King officiating. A private family graveside will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow.
