James Henry Tallant, age 76, of Plano, Texas, passed away July 7, 2007 in Richardson, Texas. He was born August 28, 1930 in Princeton, Texas to Otis Franklin and Violet Rebecca (Russell) Tallant. On June 13, 1953 he married Eloise Corkern in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plano and worked for AT & T formerly known as Western Electric, for 35 years, 4 months, and 3 days. He retired in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Corkern Tallant of Plano, Texas; daughters, Patty Schnittker and her husband, Doug of Plano, Texas, Peggy Sultenfuss and her husband, Andy of Leander, Texas and Pam Jeanes and her husband, Bill of Cedar Park, Texas; grandchildren, Brian, Bobby, Dustin, Tyler, Kellie and Cody; sisters, Opal Vaughn of Daingerfield, Texas, Jane Craddock of Lone Star, Texas, Shirley Steed of Daingerfield, Texas and Sue Wallace of Daingerfield, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, July 9, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.
