James Baker "J. B." Stelzer

Mr. James “J.B.” Baker Stelzer, age 84 of Celina, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in McKinney, Texas. He was born December 8, 1921 in Celina, Texas to Fred and Vernon (Perkins) Stelzer. Mr. Stelzer married Frances Byrd McNabb July 9, 1942 in Celina. He was a Farmer in the Agriculture and Cattle Business. He served his Country in the Army Air Corp and attained the rank of Master Sergeant and Top Turret Gunner. Mr. Stelzer was a POW at Stag 17B for 25 months. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by; wife, Frances Stelzer of Celina; Son, Bill and wife Julia Stelzer of Celina, Texas; daughter, Sally and husband Bob Holt of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Stelzer, Stephanie Hunn, Wade Holt, Carrie Holt and Sara Burke; great grandson, Jobe Baker Holt; sister, Margaret Walden of Phoenix, Arizona and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. . Services will be Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Celina with Reverends Doug Miller and Rene’ Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 6, 2006 from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Celina.
