James F. Spohn, age 82, of Princeton, Texas, passed away October 27, 2008, in Princeton. James was born November 22, 1925 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, to Ray and Leo (Salyers) Spohn. He married Mary Sue Petty on October 22, 1977 in Arkansas. James proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a plumbing contractor and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his sons, Rusty Spohn and wife Cheryl of Sadler, Texas, David Spohn and wife, Elaine of Plano, Texas, Randy Spohn and wife, Kelly and David Bates and wife, Judy all of Princeton, Texas; daughters, Mary Bates of Princeton, Texas, Debbie Spohn, and Keri Ensey and husband, Marty all of Princeton, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, June Spohn of Drumright, Oklahoma; numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Sue, son, John Spohn, and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Sulphur Cemetery in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends during a visitation to be held Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
