James Larry Richardson, age 65, of Derrider, Louisiana, passed away January 28, 2008 in Plano, Texas. James was born October 26, 1942, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to J. O. and Pauline O. (Durham) Richardson. He married My T. Cao on September 24, 1971 in Vietnam. James proudly served in the United States Army where he reached the rank of Major. He was a career military officer and held the position of Military Intelligence Officer. He is survived by his wife, My T.; mother, Pauline Richardson of Jenks, Oklahoma; daughters, Amy Richardson of Allen, Texas and Laura Richardson of New York, New York; son, Bobby and his wife, Theresa Pham of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Ronald and wife, Wanda of Jenks, Oklahoma and Jack and his wife, Aida, also of Jenks; grandson, B. J. Pham. He was preceded in death by his father, J. O. Richardson. Interment will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, February 1, 2008, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, February 1, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney, Texas with Rev. Tim Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
