James Victor “Jim” Larson, age 70, of Greenville, Texas, passed away February 18, 2014. He was born on February 27, 1943 in Galesburg, Illinois. On September 8, 1992, Jim married Barbara Arthur in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Larson of Greenville, Texas; daughters, Jennifer Steele and husband Aaron of Clark Lake, Michigan and Shanna Paola and husband Gabe of Cave Creek, Arizona; grandchildren, Reagan and Brayden Steele of Clark Lake, Michigan, Connor and Carson Paola of Cave Creek, Arizona; sister, Joan St. Laurant of Los Altos, California; sister-in-law, Kathy Larson of Galesburg, Illinois; step-children, Renee Peri and husband Vito of Wylie, Texas, Ronnie Mills and wife Denise of Azle, Texas, Don Mills and wife Chris of Ohio; step-grandchildren, Vito, Alyssa, Jess and Garrett Peri of Wylie, Texas, Haley, Justin and Julianne Mills of Azle, Texas.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Vic Larson and mother, Joyce Larson; brother, Jerry Larson; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Pat Reed.
A memorial service, with food following, will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014, at Pathway Church, 193 FM 547, Farmersville, Texas 75442.
