James D. Larrabee IV, age 64, of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away June 26, 2007, in McKinney, Texas. He was born September 24, 1942, in Norfolk, Nebraska to James D. Larrabee III and Oleta (McCabe) Larrabee. On January 18, 1979, he married Barbara Althouse in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Larrabee was a police officer in Oxnard, Simi Valley and Coachella, California and later owned and operated JDL Enterprises a website development firm. Mr. Larrabee was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Larrabee of Blue Ridge; children, James Dee Larrabee V of Bullhead City, Arizona, Danielle Anne Marie Villa of Newbury Park, California, Scott Wortendyke and wife, Stephanie of Scottsdale, Arizona and Michael Wortendyke of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Reagan Larrabee, Avery Anne Wortendyke, Callahan Michael Villa and Claire Villa; brother, John Larrabee of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Jeanie Gibson and husband, Michael of Plano, Texas; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
