James D. Kirke, age 59, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 4, 2008, of a Glioblastoma Multiform IV Brain Tumor. Born on October 2, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mr. Kirke had been associated since 1998 with Harmon Law Firm, P.C., Dallas, Texas. Mr. Kirke graduated from Indiana University School of Business in Bloomington, Indiana, and Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Kirke; brothers, Richard J. Kirke and Thomas A. Kirke. He is survived by his mother, Betty J. Kirke of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, David Kirke of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step-daughters, Nicole Gerardot of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Melissa Gerardot and Heather Gerardot both of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Madison Irick and Alex Hendricks both of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Nathan Knepp, Ashlynn Wheeler, Caleb Wheeler and Brianna Wheeler all of McKinney, Texas. Mr. Kirke had associations with Southeastern Paralegal Institute Faculty, El Centro College Faculty, and Legal Services of North Texas. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00-8:00p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
