James Casey Kelleher

James Casey Kelleher of Austin, Texas, formerly of McKinney, Texas, passed away August 3, 2008 in Houston, Texas. He was born July 12, 1982, in Irving, Texas, the son of Kraig David and Kay (Griffin) Kelleher. Kay Kelleher died shortly after James was born. He was raised by Kraig and his second wife, a loving mother to James, Sandra Reneé Frederick. After they too passed away, James was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Dan and Karen Brooks of Melissa, Texas. James was a college student who attended both Collin County Community College and University of Memphis. He was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving. He is survived by his family, Dan, Karen, Amanda, Travis and Mason Brooks of Melissa, Texas; grandparents, Betty and Carroll Davis of Temple, Texas, Pattie and Hollis Griffin of Forney, Texas, R.E. Frederick of Cedar Hill, Texas, Jerald and Ruth Brooks of Pueblo, Colorado, and Nancy Brooks of McKinney, Texas; and aunts and uncles, Amy Edwards and her family of New Braunfels, Texas, Deborah Ferretti and her family of Georgetown, Texas, Donna Deaton and her family of Burleson, Texas, Cindy Clounch and her family of Tool, Texas, Holly Smith and her family of Forney, Texas, Tamara Bass and her family of Arlington, Texas, David Brooks and his family of McGregor, Texas, Dr. Duane Brooks and his family of Houston, Texas, and Darin Brooks and his family of Houston, Texas. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandfather, James Francis Kelleher, and grandmother, Louise Frederick. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church of McKinney with Dr. Jeff Warren and Dr. Duane Brooks officiating. A graveside service is scheduled at 4:00 PM on Friday at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas, where James will be laid to rest beside his birth mother Kay Griffin Kelleher. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, www.madd.org and First Baptist Church of McKinney.
