James William Gifford, age 68 of Plano, Texas passed away on March 31, 2009. He was born on March 5, 1941 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Rachel Maxine (Burnett) and James Benjamin Gifford. On June 10, 1962 James married Judith Ann Wilson in Marshalltown, Iowa. He served in the US Navy and worked for Lennox Air Conditioning and Heating. James is survived by his children, Kim Coleman and her husband, Mike of Lewisville, Texas’ Jodi Haas and her husband, Stephen of Frisco, Texas, Dan Gifford and his wife, Amanda of Abilene, Texas, and Bret Gifford of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Clayton Coleman, Chase Abshier, Jacob Gifford, and Benjamin Gifford. James is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Gifford; parents, Rachel and James Gifford; sister, Marsha Gifford. A Graveside Service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, in Allen, Texas 75013 on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Danny Buster officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home in Frisco at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
