James M. Fuller

James M. Fuller, age 88, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away on November 16, 2011. He was born February 15, 1923, in Pike, Texas to James Franklin and Florence (Mott) Fuller. James served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. On August 7, 1943 James married Pearlie Elizabeth White in Collin County, Texas. James had a passion for horses, trail rides and was involved in the saddle club. These passions lead to the organization of “Helping Hands” which provided medical equipment to the needy at no cost. He also had a love for antiques and previously owned an antique shop. He was a member of The Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fuller of Holiday Island, Arkansas; daughters, Jerry Anne Adams and husband Vic of Cassville, Missouri, Shirley Zettler and husband Bobby of Lewisville, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. J.M. was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Florence Fuller; brother, Granville Fuller; sisters, Alpha Herod, Ida Lou Sartain; great-grandson, Dustin Hooten. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment to immediately follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
