James W. "Jim" Field

James W. “Jim” Field, age 62, of Plano, Texas passed away August 1, 2007 at his home. He was born January 12, 1945 in Schenectady, New York. Jim was a lifelong resident of Plano, Texas, graduating from Plano High School in 1963. He was active in all sports, earning designation as All-District Center in 1961. He proudly served in the United States Army, and received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M. Jim was currently working in corporate accounting with Rexel USA, Inc. Prior to working at Rexel he was employed as Division Controller for Trinity Industries and as Controller for C & H Transportation. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Priscilla Field of Plano; son, Jason W. Field and his wife, Beckie of Maryville, Tennessee; parents, O.F. “Pete” and Betty Field, formerly of Plano, currently of Longview, Texas; sisters, Linda Roberts and her husband, Fred of Trenton, Kentucky, Lucy Carroll and her husband, Bob of Hallsville, Texas and Mary Huffman of Hollywood, California; granddaughters, Bailey and Brenna Field; mother-in-law, Edith Kurtz and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Frank William Kurtz. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas. Internment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
