James Scott Emerson

Mr. James Scott Emerson, age 51, of Princeton, Texas passed away December 16, 2009, in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 15, 1958, in Cascade, Iowa to Galen and Leota (McMullen) Emerson. On August 20, 1984, he married Connie Altamirano in Steubenville, Ohio. Scott was a 1976 graduate of Plano Senior High and attended Grayson County Community College. For the past 30 years, Scott worked in telecommunications and most recently served as a project manager. He was an avid sportsman and liked to fish. He was a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Scott is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Scotty Emerson of Plano, Texas, Chris Emerson of Frisco, Texas, Michael Emerson of Princeton and Natasha Hensley and her husband, Kyle of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandson, Preston Hensley; brothers, Ed Emerson of Brooklyn, New York, Randy Emerson of Plano, Gerry Emerson of Dubuque, Iowa, Rodney Emerson of Seattle, Washington, Brad Emerson of Plano; sisters, Vicki Emerson of Plano, Sue Martinez of Wylie, Texas, and Faith Miller of Plano; and parents, Galen and Leota Emerson of Plano. He was preceded in death by his brother, Garry Emerson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Stan Fike officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
