James O. Currie

James O. Currie, age 70, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 28, 2008 in McKinney. James was born June 18, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to David and Pearl (Deacon) Currie. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. James married Marlene Schroeger on October 15, 1960 in Philadelphia. He was employed with Sears for twenty-six years. James later acted as a vice president at TRW Credit Services and then served as president of Junior Achievement of the Greater Dallas Area. He was also the owner of “Who Done It?” murder mystery productions. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; children, Christine Ott and husband, John of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, Brian Currie and his wife, Lauren of Allen, Texas, Denise Chapman and her husband, Chris of Allen, Texas, and Marcus Currie of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher, James, Brooke, Grace, Michael, Collin, Dylan, Joshua, Amanda, and Brandon; brother, David Stuart Currie and his wife, Gloria of Milford, Michigan; sister, Joyce Gonnam of Southampton, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 7, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Pastor Glen Brechner officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Brian Currie, Marcus Currie, Chris Chapman, John Ott, Christopher Ott, and James Ott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J.
