James Benjamin (J.B.) Crim

MR. JAMES BENJAMIN (J.B.) CRIM, age 87, passed away December 27, 2004 in Jacksonville, Texas. Mr. Crim was born November 9, 1917 in McKinney, Texas, the son of Glenn and Myrtle Crockett Crim. He married Frances Leona Samples on May 12, 1939. He served in the 1st Calvary Division in El Paso, Texas and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Crim lived most of his life in McKinney before retiring to Jacksonville in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances Crim; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carrell and Peggy Crim of Anna, Texas, Don and Lana Crim of Van Alstyne, and James and Betty Crim of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, James Carrell Crim of Deming, New Mexico, David Crim of Anna, Jeffrey Crim of Galveston, Texas, Kelly Crim of Van Alstyne, Shanna Crim of Van Alstyne, Kevin Crim of Conroe, Janna Crim of Conroe; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Crim is also survived by three brothers, William Crim of McKinney, Clarence Crim of Farmersville, and Max Weldon Crim of Durant, Oklahoma; five sisters, Becky Gray of Dallas, Fannie Mae Borders of Mesquite, Texas, Ellen Hash of Plano, Texas, Martha Willis of Richardson, Texas and Sue Hunt of Rockwall, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Chaplain Robert Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral Home.
