IN LOVING MEMORY

James Michael Clements

Apr 24 1946 - Jun 20 2005

Mike, born on April 24, 1946, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2005. He died in his home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a man of great faith and integrity and was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. God and family were very important to Mike as he always made time for them, and put others before himself. Mike spent over 25 years as a custom homebuilder where he not only built houses, but life-long friendships as well. Mike’s other accomplishments included service in the National Guard, nine years in the Richardson and Carrollton Fire Departments, real estate broker, owner of a real estate company, three years on the Coppell ISD School Board, member of the Celina Planning and Zoning Committee, as well as numerous other committees, and initiated a Men’s Prayer Breakfast at First Baptist Church of Celina where he cooked weekly for them. He was most recently employed with BMC West. Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy Clements; daughter, Angela Phelps and her husband, Justin; son, Adam Clements and his fiancée, Alison; brother, Richard Clements and his wife, Lavita; sister, Barbara Jean Hoffman; sister, Lynn Brock and her husband, Roy; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. His parents precede him in death. The family would like to express special gratitude to their friends and church family for their prayers and loving support; to the extraordinary and compassionate Oncology and Radiology staff at Medical City, Dallas; and to Mercy Hospice for their immediate and tender care. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 24, 2005, at the First Baptist Church, 7810 Highway 289 North, Celina, Dr. Raymond Horne officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FBC Celina or to the Mary Crowley Medical Research Center (214) 658-1961.
