Jake Warren, of Lafayette, LA, Las Vegas, NV and recently, Whitewright, TX, passed away at his ranch Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 of heart failure. He was born as John Cestia Warren on Nov. 25, 1950 to Lucy Cestia Warren and John Warren in New Iberia.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Candy Rutherford Warren, his daughter Carolyn Ann and her partner Amy Shirley of Sarah, MS; his son John R. and his wife Christen; his three grandchildren, Jake, Beck and Elle all of McKinney, TX; his sister Ann of Lafayette, LA.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, John Warren and Lucy CestiaWarren.
Special thanks to his poker buddy Mike Thibodeaux, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of The Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, TX for the excellent care and compassion he received.
Private services will be held later this week.
