Jake Michael Vest, 20, of Blue Ridge,Texas, passed away on June 15th in a car accident in Blue Ridge, Texas.
He is survived by his mother, Michele Richardson; his father, Adam Vest, and wife, Olivia; a brother, Cole Vest; two sisters, Elizabeth Vest and Olivia Vest; maternal grandparents, Mike and Sherrye Richardson; paternal grandmother, Beverly Vest; his uncle and aunt, Brian and Camden Richardson; and cousin, Jaci Jo Richardson. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Vest.
Jake was born in Sulpher Springs,Texas, on February 7, 1995. He attended school in Blue Ridge, Texas, where he graduated in 2013.
Jake was a member of the I.B.E.W. (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), and was currently attending the apprenticeship school. He was employed by Morley-Moss Electrical Contractors of Dallas, Texas.
Jake had many interests, including a love for Texas Country Music, collecting guns, driving trucks, hunting and fishing.
He had close ties with the Blue Ridge community where he grew up and had many friends. He was well liked by all who knew him, and always displayed a pleasant and easygoing disposition.
Family visitation will be at 1:00 o’clock in Farmersville, Texas, at the Farmersville Church of Christ. Following visitation, a memorial service will begin at 2:00 o’clock PM at the church.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Rule, Levi Mayes, Javier Torres Jr., Justin Prince, Josh McGehee, and Tony Dai. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake’s great-uncles, David Freeman, Keith Freeman, Drew Freeman, and Dale McGehee.
Interment will be at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
