Jackie Delano Woodson

Mr. Jack Woodson, age 63 of Plano, Texas passed away on June 23, 2005 in Plano. He was born on September 15, 1941 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Delbert Elder and Ruby Lillian (Beck) Woodson. Mr. Woodson served in the U.S. Army. He married Carolyn Allen on February 4, 1967 in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Woodson was a loan officer for 30 years of which 18 were spent in Jacksonville. Mr. Woodson retired in 2003 from Hertz Corporation. He was a member of the Collin Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. He was past city councilman, member and president of the Kiwanis Club, president of the United Way and was deacon at the Central Baptist Church all in Jacksonville, Texas. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a member of the Optimist Club in Cedar Creek, Texas. Mr. Woodson was chairman of the deacons at Collin Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Jack was a loving husband, daddy, pappa and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Woodson of Plano, Texas; son, Todd Woodson of Dallas, Texas; future daughter-in-law, Heather White also of Dallas; son, Matt Woodson and wife, Irene of Jacksonville, Texas; grandchild, Zach Woodson of Plano; brother, Woody Woodson and wife, Dugie of Chandler, Texas; sister, Mary Pace and husband, C.D. of Norman, Oklahoma; and several other loving relatives. Mr. Woodson was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday June 25, 2005 at Collin Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Posner officiating.
