Jackie “Jack” Shatley, age 74, native of McKinney, Texas passed away at his residence on July 13, 2011. He was born October 14, 1936 in McKinney, Texas to William Lee Shatley and Fannie Mae (Cleveland) Shatley. Jackie attended school in McKinney and graduated from the former Boyd High School and attended TCU. Jackie later was involved with the Mavericks Baseball Team with Al Alford and Denny Dixon. He was employed with Wysong Hospital for many years and retired from Rockwell International. He is survived by his sister, Betty Shields and husband, Tommy; brother, Ellsworth Shatley all of McKinney, Texas; sisters-in-law, Beverly Shatley of Santa Maria, California, Kathleen Shatley of Lubbock, Texas, Betsy Shatley of South Lake, Texas, Vaudene Shatley of McKinney, Texas and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Octa and Mildred Louise Shatley; brothers, Metz, Wendell, Dewey and Clifford Shatley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
