Myles D. (Jack) Shields, age 81, of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 12, 2010. He was born on June 10, 1929 in Parsons, Kansas, to Oran and Vivian Shields. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was married to Jerry Shields of Wylie, Texas. Jack retired from TXU after 40 years of employment. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Shields of McKinney; son, Miachel Shields and wife Christine, of Point, Texas; daughters, Elaine Richardson and husband Jeff, of Princeton, Texas, and Kandis Wooddell and husband Gary, of Duncanville, Texas; granddaughter, Misty Glover, who was raised as a daughter, and husband Adam of McKinney; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Wednesday. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
