Jack Calvin Pennington, age 66, of Anna, Texas passed away April 17, 2010. He was born January 21, 1944, in McKinney, Texas to Don Calvin and Nadine (Lenderman) Pennington. Jack grew up in McKinney where he graduated from McKinney High School. He moved to Allen where he lived until 2000. He began his career in 1965 at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local. He was the business manager for local #100 for 25 years. In 2000 he was the Vice President for the International UA until his retirement in 2006. Jack worked on the Alaskan Pipeline from 1976-1977. He was a city councilman in Allen, and also on the planning and zoning committee. Jack was past Master of the McKinney and Allen Masonic Lodges. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Hella Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason. Jack was very involved in his community and enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, and other outdoor sports. He is survived by his wife Betty; sons Curtis Pennington and Sarah Udell of Trenton, Texas, Bart Pennington and wife Wendy of Anna, Texas; grandchildren Kassie Pennington, Jack Payton Pennington, Seth Udell, Chrissy Pennington and Nikki Pennington; and sister Kay Burnside. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Shirley Montaldo and Dona Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #100 Scholarship Fund, 3629 W.
