Jack Kenneth Neal, Sr.

Jack Kenneth Neal, Sr., age 92, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 13, 2015. Jack was born August 12, 1922, in Paris, Texas, to Browning and Texie (Boyce) Neal. He graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1936. Jack attended Texas Tech University for two years before joining the United States Navy where he served during World War II. He would be honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander. Jack married Martha Speer on May 24, 1944, in Honey Grove and the two would have been married seventy-three years this month. He worked in the insurance industry for forty years and owned his own agency for thirty of those years. Jack belonged to a private pilot’s club for many years and was an investor in the Addison Airport. He enjoyed playing golf and racquetball.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Neal of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Candace Siedell and husband, Tod of Azle, Texas; son, Jack Neal, Jr. of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Turner of Dallas, Texas, Rebecca Tezkol and husband, Mert of Carrollton, Texas, Julie Thompson and husband, Daniel of Abilene, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Phyllis Tatum and Sue Browning Radney and husband, Robert.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Ford Turner.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5871 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas, 75071.
