Funeral Services for J B Thompson, Jr., 53 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 10 A.M. Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Charles E. Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery west of Leonard on Highway 78 in the Nobility Community. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Tuesday March 13th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mr. Thompson was born December 30, 1958 at Bonham. His parents were J.B. Thompson, Sr. and Dorothy Laverne Phillips Thompson. He was a college graduate and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. He loved reading his Bible and enjoyed collecting sports trading cards and movies. He also was proud of the fact that he worked as an extra in the movie filmed in Leonard titled, “Beyond The Farthest Star”. He passed away at his residence in Leonard Friday March 9, 2012. He is survived by his mother: Dorothy Thompson of Grand Prairie; his sister: Linda Savage of Trenton; his brothers: Gary Thompson of Prosper and Larry, Tommy and Teddy Thompson all of Leonard. He was preceded in death by his father, J B Thompson, Sr.
