J.B. Lewis, age 85, a longtime resident of Anna, Texas passed away July 12, 2004, in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 20, 1919, in Rome, Georgia to John Benjamin and Harriet Ruth (May) Lewis. He married Dean Raybon in 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Lewis served as a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He retired as the Executive Vice President of Scherer Laboratories. He is survived by his son, Roger Lewis and wife, Debbie of Rowlett, Texas; sister, Louse Gich of Savory, Illinois; grandchildren, John B. Lewis IV of Lubbock, Texas, and Cory and Jennifer Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and son, John B. Lewis, III. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
