Mr. Ivan Creel, age 71, of Garland, Texas passed away September 4, 2004, at his home. He was born December 10, 1932, in Wylie, Texas to William T. and Retta Verline (Brown) Creel. He served in the U.S. Navy. On April 23, 1955, he married Jeanne Mary Courville in San Diego, California. Mr. Creel was a security guard for Texas Instruments for 30 ½ years. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Garland. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Creel of Garland; sons, John William Creel and wife, Donnel of Ferris, Texas, Michael David Creel and Raymond Joseph Creel and wife, Jana all of Garland; daughter, Theresa Jeanne Mendez and husband, Steve of Garland; 7 grandchildren; brother, Rickey Joe Creel of Florida; sister, Ruth Littlefield of McKinney; and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Compton and Billy Frank Creel; and sister, Catherine Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1224 Main Street, Garland with Father Bob Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
